Hello all! My name is Dru Quesnoy, I am honored to be a part of Young Life’s “Dancing With the Stars” 2024 competition. I hung up my dancing shoes many, many years ago, but it is exciting to step out on the dance floor once again for such a wonderful organization as Young Life and YoungLives. Okay, not so excited as scared to death and questioning my sanity for saying yes. I’m thinking it’s a bit crazy for agreeing to perform in front of all my peers in this wonderful community that has been my home for more than 40 years. (But, being competitive I really want to win!) In considering the invitation, and reflecting back on my own life, I saw an opportunity to give back to an organization such as Young Life that stepped in during a time of crisis in my own life and saved me by leading me to my Savior Jesus Christ. Our community and our children need Jesus as their Savior and my prayer is that through this event, and the money we all raise, we will make this a possibility for our youth, just as it did for me so many years ago. My family is my world, and Jesus is my anchor. Gene and I have raised collectively our children, Katy and Wyatt and Aaron in Visalia. We have seen our two beautiful grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Young thrive here. Every child deserves the love of family and the security of a home, and this program is a chance to bring Jesus and unconditional love into the lives of the youth in our community. My heart is in this community, and I love giving back by being involved. I’m a member of the Visalia Breakfast Rotary, the Visalia Breakfast Lions Club and the Elks, all of which support youth and many non-profits in our community. Also serving on the board of TCHope, which is opening the new Visalia Navigation Center for the homeless. Twice a month Gene and I open
our home and host a women’s Bible Study. We all have a responsibility to care for our community. I invite you to join me in helping Young Life and Young Lives by stepping up with your financial support. Together we can change the lives of the young people in our community.
