Hey there! I am Chad W Howell, a 47-year-old father of four daughters and husband to Jamie for 25 years. I love Jesus and people, and I have a special place in my heart for mission work in Ensenada, Mexico. I make two or three trips a year down there to build homes, churches, and community centers to advance life and the Gospel. I’m an avid skier, golfer, and all-around outdoorsman. I love creating with my hands, working hard to have something to be proud of and to share with others. I cherish my time with family, especially my daughters, as it seems to pass by so quickly. I am a building contractor by trade, specializing in large custom homes with detailed requirements and discerning clients. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with top designers, architects, subcontractors, and employees. Growing up, I honed my skills as a carpenter and log home builder alongside my father, with projects spanning Malibu, Lake Tahoe, Saratoga, Aspen, and even Nagano, Japan. After marrying Jamie, we settled in Visalia, where I transitioned from remodels and small custom homes to larger, more extravagant projects. I even built one more log home in Yosemite Park, where my young family lived for two years. Now, my work is primarily around the Valley, Central Coast and San Diego. In addition to these many skills and interests, I have discovered a newfound passion for dancing. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in this art form. The opportunity to dance and raise money for this amazing organization, Young Life, came as a welcome surprise. My wife and I have taken some very amateur dancing lessons together, and I’ve enjoyed every minute. I look forward to not only learning more to impress each of you with my dance moves but also sharing these new skills with my wife and daughters at the many weddings in our future! Please “vote” for me by making a generous donation to my campaign! I have recently been reminded that, in God’s eyes, generosity is about the heart, not the volume. So please open your heart and your pocketbook to support the work that Young Life does, reaching so many teens with the Gospel of Jesus and transforming their lives. Whether it’s $10 or $10,000, I appreciate your support as I dance my way into your hearts this coming Fall. You can buy tickets and attend the event to get the full effect or simply make a donation, knowing that you are supporting a good cause, even if you miss the show. No, seriously, please buy tickets and come—it will be a lot more fun with you there!
